This 2 Day Encaustic Workshop is a great introduction to encaustic painting and techniques for those that are new to the medium as well as those looking to dive deeper into this medium. The workshop runs 12-4pm on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th. All supplies are provided. Just show up with curiosity and your sense of play. Join me in my studio for this one day Cyanotype workshop. Learn the art of sun printing. Come play with this amazing medium. Cyanotype printing is a sun printing (UV light source) process. We will be using botanicals and other objects to create these unique blue prints. This workshop is weather dependant as we are required to be outside and need the help of the sun. The rain date for the workshop will be Sunday August 6th. The cost of the workshop is $80 and a $25 deposit is required to hold your spot. Deposits are non refundable two weeks prior to the workshop. These workshops are limited to 6 participants so space is limited.
Join me in my studio for a two day 10 hour introduction to Encaustic Painting. The class will run from 11am to 4pm on Saturday July 15th and Sunday July 16th. All supplies are included. Learn how to paint with fire. We will go over what would be needed to set up an encaustic work space, making and tinting encaustic medium, applying layers, sgraffito applications, various mark making techniques and fusing with different heat sources. This extended two day workshop will also include photo transfers layering images and botanical imprints. The cost for the workshop is $280 with a $75 deposit required to reserve your spot.
